Post #2: Aesthetics

Below are the best 5 images that I took that fall under the categories of negative space, lines, contrast within the subject matter, framing, and angle. 

 This is an example of negative space because of the empty background and all of the white that is shown.


Still using the same plant, I used a background with horizontal lines.  The horizontal line are from a woven basket in my bedroom. 

This is an example of contrasting subject matter. Both the background and floor surface contrast the leaves and pot of the plant. The white fur background is from my living room rug which I propped up as a background for this picture.

Using my ring I framed the plant in the distance.

I changed the angle of the camera and photographed the plant from above.

a) This commercial communicates well with hearing-impaired audience members because, it teaches the importance of communicated with the deaf. The deaf community is large and it is important to learn sign language to communicate with those who are hearing impaired. This commercial shows that Marriott goes the extra mile for all of its customers, especially those with disabilities. Using sign language throughout the commercial shows us this.   b) The commercial does a really great job communicating and being able to communicate with the deaf community. The deaf community has an advantage in this commercial because the women are signing words and conversations that aren't subtitled for hearing people.   c) The commercial does nothing for visually impaired people. The Lion King Rises For my move trailer mashup I used the video from The Lion King and the audio from The Dark Night Rises. I had to match up the audio so it matched the video when people were talking. Surprisingly some places matched up easily whereas other I needed to work harder to get the voices to line up. I used Adobe Premiere to edit the video/audio.

What I included: - Running noise - Water pouring - Snoring How/Why: I used all of these noises to help the audience get a better feel for what I was talking about. This first sound is he running noise.
