Friend's Story about her life:

What I did:
First, I used my iphone to record the convo with my friend. Next, I airdropped it to my laptop and uploaded it to Adobe Audition where I edited it and pieced together chunks to form a story. I then saved and exported it and uploaded it to sound cloud.

The original recording was about 11 minutes long and I ended up trimming it down to about 1:20.

Background on the story:
This was a story that actually sounded nothing like the original... My friend's does not get $3,000 a month and she doesn't refer to her dad as "dad" in real life. I took bits and pieces of the original to mash it up and create a story that was not like the original.


Thoughts before starting:
Before I uploaded my recording I was trying to picture what it would look more like, sample A or B from the "Digitizing Audio" reading and what the rates and sound waves would look like. The result I got was not what i was expecting. I couldn't see the exact waves it looked more like lines/heart beat like we had been seeing in class.

a) This commercial communicates well with hearing-impaired audience members because, it teaches the importance of communicated with the deaf. The deaf community is large and it is important to learn sign language to communicate with those who are hearing impaired. This commercial shows that Marriott goes the extra mile for all of its customers, especially those with disabilities. Using sign language throughout the commercial shows us this.   b) The commercial does a really great job communicating and being able to communicate with the deaf community. The deaf community has an advantage in this commercial because the women are signing words and conversations that aren't subtitled for hearing people.   c) The commercial does nothing for visually impaired people. Post #2: Aesthetics

Below are the best 5 images that I took that fall under the categories of negative space, lines, contrast within the subject matter, framing, and angle.   This is an example of negative space because of the empty background and all of the white that is shown. Still using the same plant, I used a background with horizontal lines .  The horizontal line are from a woven basket in my bedroom.  This is an example of contrasting subject matter . Both the background and floor surface contrast the leaves and pot of the plant. The white fur background is from my living room rug which I propped up as a background for this picture. Using my ring I framed  the plant in the distance. I changed the angle of the camera and photographed the plant from above.

Blow Post 4

Photo Story layouts are important because pictures tend to be the first thing someone notices before reading an entire article or all of the text. Having a confusing photo story can cause readers to skim through or completely skip the piece all together. I think this is a great example because you can clearly understand the image on top is the main image not only because it is first but because it is also the largest image. The next two images are one above the other which makes is easy to understand the order or images. It seems as if the main image has a caption and the bottom two have one under the last picture as well. This example is the worst in my opinion.  I think its confused in the sense that the second image is largest. If it's the main image why isn't it first? It makes me think that the top image isn't really important. The text is also all the way down at the bottom right which makes it seem unimportant and off to the side. There is also very minimum ...
