Adobe Audition Effects
I am still getting used to the Adobe software but after playing around with it and learning from class demonstrations and videos there are a few things that I want to use for the upcoming assignment. We will be using still images and audio to create a mini film. Since we will be using still images it's important to include transitions between the images so the film doesn't look too choppy.

Three effects I would use:

1. Echo: I think this would be dramatic and make a statement. I would likely only use this once and for something important in the video. This effect to me seems like something that could be over used and could get old quickly and I am hoping to avoid that.

2. Pages drop: Will be the next effect I would use. I think this would be a great way to transition between pictures.

3. Fade out effect: I also think it would be beneficial to use the fade out effect when I am ending my intro and before I start my story. This will help transition and make it look smoother.

I also would like to use noise reduction since I want my audio to sound clear and not muffled by background noise. I did not want to list this as one of my 3 effects because I wanted to list effects that will make the audio sound different and stand out, whereas in my opinion the noise reduction makes the audio sound like it should (if that makes sense!)

a) This commercial communicates well with hearing-impaired audience members because, it teaches the importance of communicated with the deaf. The deaf community is large and it is important to learn sign language to communicate with those who are hearing impaired. This commercial shows that Marriott goes the extra mile for all of its customers, especially those with disabilities. Using sign language throughout the commercial shows us this.   b) The commercial does a really great job communicating and being able to communicate with the deaf community. The deaf community has an advantage in this commercial because the women are signing words and conversations that aren't subtitled for hearing people.   c) The commercial does nothing for visually impaired people. The majority of the commercial is just instrumental music until they say “Treating other like we’d like to be treated, has always been our guiding principle.” A visual impaired person would be able to unders...

The Lion King Rises For my move trailer mashup I used the video from The Lion King and the audio from The Dark Night Rises. I had to match up the audio so it matched the video when people were talking. Surprisingly some places matched up easily whereas other I needed to work harder to get the voices to line up. I used Adobe Premiere to edit the video/audio.

What I included: - Running noise - Water pouring - Snoring How/Why: I used all of these noises to help the audience get a better feel for what I was talking about. This first sound is he running noise. I used my feet on a hardwood floor. https://soundcloud.com/user-939585680/run-1 The second noise is water from the tap. https://soundcloud.com/user-939585680/new-recording-5 Lastly, the third is snoring, and I tried my best to mimic a snoring noise. https://soundcloud.com/user-939585680/snoring
