Intro:
For this assignment, I photographed the pattern on my dogs bed. I used tools in indesign such as the "eye dropper" and "rectangle tool". I used the eye dropper tool to capture the exact color from my image. Then I was able to change the tint to make it a lighter % than the original color.
Task 1: Photograph
Originally I had an image of my dog but since she is mainly one color (brown) I opted for something more colorful and decided to use a picture of her bed which is mainly pink shades.
Task 2: Swatches
Once I had my image in indesign I used the eyedropper tool to pull the exact same color from my image. I was then able to make squares and fill the square with the colors I pulled from the image, making sure that there was no border around the squares I made. I put all of the squares next to one another and then adjusted the colors. The far left is the original colors, the middle is set to 75% and the far right is 50%.
Task 3: Nameplates
Lastly, I used the same colors and created nameplates that tell a little bit about me. I used all 3 colors in each nameplate. I already have something similar to this on my Linkedin cover photo, I actually used the heading of my resume which includes my name, email, cell number, and town. I am not sure if I would consider this for my Linkedin profile because its so bright, but its always good to have it as an option.
